2001 is the year Betsson was initiated with its technical development.
2002- Being one of the first sites in the world Betsson launches Live betting in the Exchange and gets its bookmakers licence in London. The first sites were only in English and Swedish.
2003- Betsson launches it’s first casino games. More then 20 world-class casino games become available on the site along with tournaments and big Jackpots. In this year Betsson expands their language base to German and Finnish.
2004- Betsson Poker launches together with partner Ongame, the largest poker network in the world. In 2004 more Countries with their home country languages were added to the menu. These included Norway and the Czech Republic.
2005- Was one of the biggest years for Betsson. In this year they reached the 100,000 registerd customer mark and expanded their country customer base into Denmark Iceland and Turkey. Betsson at this time acquires the group’s online casinos, CasinoEuro.com and CherryCasino.com. This extended their Customer base into USD and widened their Casino Gaming operations. After an extensive review The Global Gambling and Gaming Group certifies Betsson as responsible gaming site. The certification means Betsson actively prevents and counteracts problem gambling. Betsson in this same year launches Mobile Poker, a Java applet making it possible to play poker on their mobile phone against the same players and in the same network as on the site. Betsson launches traditional sports betting with a wide range of international sport.SO 2005 was a landmark year for Betsson.
2006- Betsson reaches the 400,000 customer mark. This is a 400% increase in just one year. They moved their headquarters to Malts and the first Betsson scratch cards were launched.
2007- Betsson launches betting on stocks and indexes with Betsson Trader, launches Games and expands their country customer base into Spain, Italy and Greece.This was the year Live-betting was launched in the Betsson Sportsbook.
2008- Betsson challenges the Swedish state monopoly and opens the first non-governmental operated land based betting shop in Sweden. Betsson in 2008 expands into Holland, Serbia, Peru and Hungry.
2009- Betsson expands the existing loyalty program with improved poker section, The Poker Club.
